Last week, Pilot and I attended an awards ceremony at Space Center Houston.  In attendance were the six crew members from Expedition Thirty.  Commander Dan Burbank, Flight Engineer Anton Shkaplerov, Flight Engineer Anatoly Ivanishin, Flight Engineer Oleg Kononenko, Flight Engineer André Kuipers, and Flight Engineer Don Pettit.

As is the custom with these ceremonies, after the awards were distributed, a video of the expedition crew’s time aboard the International Space Station was shown.  No matter how many of these functions I have attended in the past 12 years, I never cease to marvel at the incredible views.

At the end of the crew members’ “home movie”, a video which Dan Burbank, Don Petit, and Andre Kuipers shot while on board the ISS, set to Walking on the Air, was shown.

Although I have shared this video, courtesy of NASA, with some of you already, I believe you will agree, it is worth viewing again.
