Many times in suspense dramas, the hero needs to reach a switch, pull a lever, grasp a hand-hold to save the universe from blowing up. But, alas, the said switch, lever, hand-hold is slightly out of reach. AAGGHH!

Or the words that will solve the misunderstanding between the two love interests, is lost in the babble, noise, and confusion of their surroundings. Leaving each to go their separate ways. Alone. Sigh.

Welp, fortunately, Jesus doesn’t operate like either of those scenarios. Nothing is out of his reach. His hearing is crystal clear.

Our LORD can reach to the depths of the most miserable of all situations. He reaches to our deepest hurts and rescues us with his love, forgiveness, grace, and mercy. We just need to reach out to him.

Jesus is our hero who always saves the day. He hears our muffled, silent cries, and our desperate wails. He lifts us out of our despair. There are no misunderstandings on his part.

So what’s our part in all of this? Our part is to seek his help.
