By Sandy Kirby Quandt
There are times I get discouraged. How about you? There are times I feel like giving up. Ever been there? Sometimes the road ahead seems like I’m crawling uphill. Relating, yet?
Some of you reading this are facing unimaginable loss. Some have lost loved ones. Some have lost jobs. Some have lost your health. Some are dealing with ill children, parents, siblings, spouses. Some are facing really tough choices where no good answer seems available. The days appear as dark as the nights.
Where is the relief?
Where is the help?
Where is the hope?Last year I wrote about how sometimes we may feel as if God has gone M.I.A. on us, but he isn’t missing in action. He’s standing right there beside us. Or as the “Footprints” poem says, that’s when he was carrying us through our times of trial…distress…hurt…turmoil.
Don’t remember who or when, but somewhere along the line someone commented on the statement that life is a bowl of cherries by saying, “Yeah…and all I got was the pits.”
If that’s where you are right now, please listen to this song by Vashawn Mitchell. Keep hanging onto Jesus. Let him carry you over, around, and through the rough spots.

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
I wish you well.
Sandy
