The hardest thing to this gluten-free spiced apples recipe is peeling the apples. It is super simple and oh so tasty.
- 2-3 lbs apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 stick butter in small pieces
- 1 box red hot candies
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
Cook the apples over low heat until they are reduced to about half their size.
Add the butter, candy and sugar. Stir and cook over low heat until the apples are soft, and the rest of the ingredients are melted. About 30 minutes.
There you go. Nice and easy.
