The Christmas traditions we’ve enjoyed for so many years, were scattered to the wind last month, due to my unexpected broken hip.

I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart, because you are beyond traditions.

The total purchase, 50% off coupon I had for my favorite thrift store, regrettably, went unused before it expired, because I was too weak to maneuver through the store on my walker.

I will sing with joy because my resources do not limit my purchases to thrift stores.

The washing machine drain backed up, and water spewed onto the floor.

I will sing praise to you, Almighty God, that I have an indoor washing machine, and a husband who can work on the drain line to clear it.

In the midst of our struggles, disappointments, and sorrows, let’s not forget to praise our LORD with all our heart, and tell of the wonderful things He has done.

Regardless of the circumstances.
